OpportunityMen take only their needs into consideration, never
their abilities. Opportunities? They are all around us... There is power
living latent everywhere waiting for the observant eye
to discover it. Learn to smile at every situation. See it as an
opportunity to prove your strength and ability.
Contributed by Joe Brown
In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity. There is no security on this earth, there is only
opportunity. Opportunity is missed by most people because it is
dressed in overalls and looks like work. If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door. Opportunity dances with those who are ready on the
dance floor. Don't wait for extraordinary circumstance to do good;
try to use ordinary situations. Do what you can, with what you have, where you are. Too many people are thinking of securty instead of
opportunity. They seem more afraid of life than death. The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The
optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. I always tried to turn every disaster into an opportunity. Accept yourself as you are. Otherwise you will never see
opportunity. You will not feel free to move toward it;
you will feel you are not deserving. If you view all the things that happen to you, both good
and bad, as opportunities, then you operate out of a
higher level of consciousness. It is better to be prepared for an opportunity and not
have one, than to have an opportunity and not be
prepared. Look for opportunity. You can't wait for it to knock on
the door. . . . you might not be home. Small opportunities are often the beginning of great
enterprises. A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds. Nowadays some people expect the door of opportunity
to be opened with a remote control. Some men go through a forest and see no firewood. It is no disgrace to start all over. It is usually an
opportunity. When written in Chinese, the word 'crisis' is composed
of two characters—one represents danger, and the
other represents opportunity. Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so
most people don't recognize them. Many an opportunity is lost because a man is out
looking for four-leaf clovers. |
